Head of School John Nairn

John Nairn comes from a small town called Dunfermline in Scotland, which is one of the four countries that constitute the United Kingdom. After a number of years working in the industries he transitioned into International Education. John has spent more than twenty years teaching in Europe and Asia with the last twelve years being here in China with the IB PYP in Shanghai, Chengdu, Zhuhai, Beijing and Weihai. During that time John has participated in three verification/authorization journeys and an evaluation visit by the IBO. As well as a WASC accreditation visit. While fulfilling his duties and responsibilities as an educational leader he also completed his PGCEi and Masters in Educational Leadership and Management with Nottingham University in the UK.
John is a strong believer in providing people of all ages with choices within a community of learners so that they can construct their own understandings of good practices and behaviours, and the world around them through the sharing of their experiences and attained knowledge for the greater good of all. John enjoys reading books, sightseeing and watching movies with his family.
